Plenary Session: The Neuroscience of Volunteering and Giving

Date: Mon, March 28
Time: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

In this presentation we will explore how volunteering offers the potential for contact and understanding between in-groups and out-groups. These experiences enable the creation of new neurological pathways and responses  in our brains that ultimately increase empathy and decrease our ability to objectify fellow human beings. Together, we will explore the fascinating insights provided through neuroscience research to better understand what happens in our brains when we volunteer.
